KAFKATRAX is a Profan project by Wolfgang Voigt, limited to three Maxis and one CD. The name KAFKATRAX is selected for two main reasons: First, because almost all sounds used except the Bassdrum, are made out of voices taken from a Kafka audiobook. And second, because the abstract overlaying and stratification of voices and word-fragments over five octaves creates a psychotic-paranoid, “kafkaesque “ atmosphere.
